Shan:
iluvjr2:
In the east, heard that RG Channel at eastgate is rather popular and good but my child have not tried it.

My ds in p5 this year tried Vitamindz Science earlier this year. I find the notes good & teachers very experienced but he asked for a change (partly due to timing as well).
Now he is in AceScorers, a small centre at Parkway Centre. He enjoys his class & is more motivated. I guess it is cos of the teacher.

Hi Shan,

Can you share a bit more your DS experience with Vitamindz Science. When you said the teachers are very experienced, isit because they are current school teachers? Can you also share more when you say the notes are good. TIA.

Hi iluvjr2,

DS who is in p5 this year was in Vitamindz Science for 1 term.
There are schools using Vitamindz Science program but they said what they offer to schools is different from what they offered in their centre (in term of worksheets I think).
His teacher was one of the directors. He called me before DS's exams and said DS can go down to centre if he has any questions, etc.
The notes & worksheets are the centre's own and to me, they are clear & concise.

You may want to try out the holiday program before going for their regular class.

Hope above is helpful for you.
Thanks Shan! I had visted the centre and spoke to the centre director. What you said was exactly what he said in terms of materials.

Hi All,

Just want to share my opinions on Mind Stretcher.
My girl was with Mind Stretcher for 1.5 years. It is undeniable that their notes are really good. But I realised not much teaching is conducted in class.
On every lesson, students will be given worksheets to be done in class. And teachers will go through the mistakes on the previous worksheets that has been marked. However, teacher will only go through questions that most students can’t answered. Imagine if the class is 2 hours, how much time is left for teaching if students are doing a set worksheet during lesson ?!?!
Personally felt it is pointless doing the worksheets blindly if students don’t even have the concept and knowledge to answer.

However, please note above findings is concluded as per how my gal’s teacher conducted the class. It does/might not apply for all teachers/classes in Mind Stretcher.

She was 1 year at Yishun branch and 6 months at Bt. Panjang Plaza when we moved to the west.
The above comments applies mainly to the centre at Bt. Panjang as that was the feedback I received from my gal.
