During my teenage life, I had this nagging problem of small pimples on forehead.... I started using mandom facial scrub and it works. 20 years later.... I am still using this product. It is only $3.30 but it served me well. I realised that whenever I changed to something else... (eg. the expensive brands). I will have a mini outbreak.

My P4 and P5 actually use this. P4 ds is more \"pimples\" prone type.... Another product that I like is Acnes medicated foaming wash. It is by mentholatum.

My JC1 niece used to have outbreak when she was in early teens. I actually got Clean and Clear for her. It worked for her as her skin cleared up after that.

I feel that kids are usually \"lazy\" to wash their face. I tried to get my kids to wash at least twice a day just like brushing teeth.

I also tried to introduce Clean & Clear facial foam to my P1 but a friend recently told me that early introduction is not good. Someone she know did that and by teens, the dd actually had major outbreak and had to see a dermatologist.... Anyway... I just ask her to use water to wash her face.

Recently.... I used the faceshop charcoal blackhead remover sticker on my P5.... I saw blackdots while I used a manifying glass to see her nose. She complained that it smelled :slapshead: She is the \"tom boy\" type.... The last time I brought her to a salon for hair treatment... she grumbled non stop... as she had to sit there for a long time..... don't think she will ever do it again. :faint:

My fav used to be neutrogena. But the newer version does not seem as good as those in the past.

Have you tried the hydroboost?

Why do you feel that newer version is not as good?

I tried hydroboost. I don’t find it any different from their whitening range or faceshop’s.

When I first used the Neutrogena whitening mask, I was preparing for my wedding. Every night, for one month right up to the night before wedding, I put one on my face. The mask was much thicker than what it is now, less watery but wet enough. I left it on for about 30min and when I took it off, I could really see the whitening effect. The new generation one – erm…. Don’t have such effect leh… but I have found a replacement – garnier mask, the yellow one. Nice.

Basically, I don’t like those very thin and watery mask. I like those thicker and less watery ones – SKII is one. Garnier comes close. Oh yes, try nivea whitening mask too (pink). It’s also good.

For general hydration, I go for laneige waterbank or faceshop raspberry sleeping mask. Slap them on before you go to bed. The next morning, wow – the skin is much softer and suppled!

Hi i am also looking for good facial product, i am starting to age with wrinkles and my skin is darkening due to too much exposure udner the sun. dark eye rings. Is dermalogica product good, any reviews abt it.

i find hazeline snow whitening (green jar) is quite good. i also read reviews that it works well. for me, it's not sticky, goes on nice and matte and i find that my face did lighten a bit. hubby also says he notices a difference. of course, i'm the orr orr kind. not under the sun also will get dark one so maybe it takes a while for me.

i used to have spots/pimples on my chin. dunno why!! even when i go for regular facial. my facial lady said it's coz my skin too dry
she wanted me to buy a cream which costs 100+, which for me, since i wasn't working, was too much :siam:
i bought the pond's cold cream cleanser. when i first used it, :yikes: so oily! i thot sure die lah... breakout already.... :nailbite:
but surprisingly the spots/pimples didn't come back! :rahrah:
and my face didn't feel tight at all. I started with a face cloth to wash then I got kiasu and only used it in the bath with warm water so that i can wash off as opposed to 'wipe off' with the face towel. Oh yah, it gets all the makeup off too
Best part, the hazeline snow only about $4 and the big jar of pond's about $8 :love:

My skin cant take ponds cold cream cleanser – too oily, ended with breakout.


I use hazaline snow before. It’s nice, not oily but I find it a little “not enough” as a night moisturiser. If nap during the day, I think it is just nice – slap some onto the face and go to nap. Wake up to a balanced skin
