CHIJ (Katong) Primary

Hi, my daughter will be in Tangerine 1 next year. Anyone out there who's daughter is in the same class? Will be attending the orientation this Saturday. Exciting! :rahrah: Hopefully it won't be too crowded. Anyone knows how many sets of uniforms are recommended, or will we be advised on the spot?

[genie23]

i would recommend atleast 2 sets of uniform. My daughter was in P1 this year and she had PE on Tues, Wed & Thu. Also the Pinafore is to be worn everyday.

Can anyone share if those crayons and water color need to be purchased? I bought crayons and water color for my son two years ago but ended up not using. Now I can’t even find them.

[genie23]

No. I believe those are marked as optional. If I remember correctly last year they gave us a book list at the orientation and these items weren’t on it. For sure I didn’t buy them as I had them already and so could use from what we already had instead of buying.

Thanks, genie23! I will likely get 3 sets then.

About 19 students out of about 200 students obtained 250 and above.

The percentage who entered Express is about 80%, a marked improvement from last year. English was the star performing subject with 74% obtaining A&A*.

If there is any consolation, I feel the preparation towards PSLE this year was very good. My DD sat for PSLE this year, and my 1st DD sat for PSLE in 2009. Compared to 2009 the preparation this year was alot more systematic and less stressful.

Hope this helps.
