Some info based on my briefing

      1) NYPS - more competitive due to highest number of classes - 4 x 25-28pax/class. only one day staying back, for CCA, most of the work will be done during school hour, but end class at 1.30pm
      2) ACS - only 2 classes, already 35 or so from exisiting boys, so only few vacancies left. wide CCA selection, inhouse facilities, principal seems good (his response to one question posted was impressive)
      3) HPPS - seems very eager to capture the cream of GEP students
      4) NHPS - focus on Chinese?
      5) TNPS - small class size , 16-20pax/class, further split interest of Chinese culture into two sets. Bicap and ELLAP? At least 2-3days a week staying back
      6) CH - Kids very confident, teachers needs probing, stay back 2days at least
      7) SHPS - teachers are helpful during briefing , stay back 3days

For those who have yet to decide which school to select due to the school location etc

        1) Nanyang - only P1 and P2 will be at holding site (at Toh Teck), so for parents who is thinking of logistic for younger kids, this is one consideration

        2) St Hilda - at holding site starting 2013 around Bedok for two years

        3) Rosyth - at holding site around Serangoon already 2012 and will move back 2014

        4) Tao Nan - will move to holding site at old Temasek Pri/Sec from 2014-2015

        5) Henry Park - already at holding site but will move back mid 2013

        6) ACS Barker - stay

        7) Catholic High - stay

        😎 Nan Hua - stay

        9) the only One \"All Girls\" GEP centre - sorry I did not focus as mine is DS .
        RGPS
        January 2014 - November 2015 (two years)

        temporary holding site address:-
No. 53, Mount Sinai Road (Holland area), Singapore 276880

for parents who select RGPS GEP programme, means that your daughter will study :-

2013 P4, at Hillcrest (Bukit Timah).

2014 P5 and 2015 PSLE, shift 2 years to temporary holding site (Mount Sinai).

(thus, may appeal to parents with daughters staying in the West)

          salt and pepper:
          Hi

My elder son got thru the 1st round of GEP, he didn;t clear the 2nd round. But my younger one has. Any chance that the GEP school will accept my elder son into a normal stream, so that both can go to the same school?

It all depends on the vacancy in the school. Transfers are at the discretion of the school and u should only get a transfer if it is not disruptive to your elder son as he will have to make new friends, deal with new environment, different school culture, new teachers etc.

Kids stay back mostly for projects, research and extra enrichment sessions or even Field trips. Mostly are due to projects though. I have who told me their kid don't even have time to talk to them, since they are at school till late (3-5pm), come back home, shower, meal, do homework and time to sleep.

I understand there will be minimal textbooks used since the class materials are usually tailored. Still there should be the list
