Dear parents, SPI bags are on sale til this weekend with $30 to $40 off at Kinderfun. There is an outlet at United Square, heard that Centrepoint has one too. Hope this info is helpful for parents buying ergo Sch bags for your kids. I saw a number of nice designs. 😄

How about Impact and SPI? I see them almost everywhere in the department stores but they don't look very nice. But then again, I'm not sure if ergonomic bags are supposed to look nice. Can anyone share?

SPI have a number of nice bags in Kinderfun. They r having sale now til this weekend.

Price ranges from 96 to 126 after discount. After discount comparable to Impact. If not it would be more exp. The sales lady told me there is 25% trade in next time if I purchase another SPI bag. To me, it’s a good deal.

trade in only applies to non-discounted items. most of the time, the discounted items look more favourable than doing a trade in.

Ya, agree with u that discounted items r more favourable than the trade in. Trade in is for those who can’t wait til the sale period to purchase a bag.

i did a trade in for my daughter's existing SPI bag...she was so crazy over the pink...thus, i am keeping my son's old bag when her existing one is too small.

trade-in offers are just a marketing gimmicks...

anyway, SPI is a chinese product and available on Alibaba.com... maybe all the kiasus we can band together and buy one container... $5 a bag. Walao... imagine the profit margins of kinderfun... Is this SPI bag really worth it?

Has anyone of you bought this new brand Totem?

                        http://www.kid2youth.sg/products/category/Schoolbags_for_Kids_-_Totem
Apparently it's South African and it's not only ergonomic but orthopedic. It has a singular frame rod in the middle like Dr Kong, but with a welded base. The price is similar to Dr Kong, so cheaper than Impact and SPI, starting at $89 before discount. I saw it in Kid2youth Suntec city. They had only the simple classic design but i was told that the other nice designs will be in stock end of the month. So I'm holding for it and it comes with 2-year warranty.
