We want to go to 青青草原 from Taichung. Anyone experience the journey and can share with us? How long is the journey? Our guess is 2+ hrs. How much will it be if we book a taxi (return trip) to go there? Any idea?

I only know that it takes about 3 hours from Miaoli (苗栗) to reach 清境 where 青青草原 is. Also, from 大湖 which is close by will take 3.5 hours. A driver quoted us NT$6000 from Miaoli to 清境, stopping by either 大湖 or some other places in Taichung. Note this is for a 9-seater and perhaps a whole day of hire.

those who bring children over there MUST visit the zoo cos really cheap :imcool: just 60NT you can see the Panda. in our zoo you will need to pay $25 :mad:
the maokong cable car inside the zoo(2nd stop) also MUST take. it take you to top of the mountain=990m.you can choose to take the see-thru type below your foot.damn soick! price also less than 60NT :rahrah:
