My son didn't do very well...we were caught off guard.

He has 203. Need time to get over it.
Seriously I don't know what happened, but can't ask him.

You have been a source of comfort here with your friendly chat, so here's one for you and your boy. 💋

      Janet,
Hear hear... You have been a great source of help. Exam is a one off event, anything could have happened. It's over and we can only look forward. No point dwelling.

Hugs to you and your son. The road is long. And one exam ain't going to determine the rest of life.

To the parent whose son score 263, if another guy with 263 put HCI as his first choice, he will get it over your son/

Only272, thank you for your clarification. So only those that score the same 263 will get consideration first with the school of their first choice, right?

This is wrong. Who has the priority will depend on who has higher score and not on the choice. If both score 263, there are still decimal points behind 263 (but not made known to students) and whoever has higher scores will get higher priority.

That's was my first understanding too! Should I try for RI first then and put Hwa Chong as second choice?

This information is wrong. Allocation is by merit, not order of choice. The exact details of how allocation is done in event of same score can be found in the grey guide book[/quote]Thank you Dreamgear, i thought i understand it that way too!

                        Janet,

what done is done. Don’t look back. Life don’t stop short at 203. No parents on earth wants to see their children doing badly. There will be plenty of opportunities in life, and maybe excel in his future secondary school. I am sure you have heard of Adam Khoo success story. His is a living example. So never give up. continue the fighting spirit with your son. take this as another test paper, have to move on in life. In the next few days, you may need to strategies what best fit your DS in sec school selection. Make the best out of it. And who knows, your DS may score straight As in his O Level? Cheers!
