Coincidentally, my girl is currently attending 弟子规 class at Blossom World Society.

The volunteers are very dedicated and patient towards nurturing the kids.

My girl will automatically bow to her school teachers & even bus drivers when she boarded the bus. 😄

      Our Jolly Companion:
He attended the recite class at Blossom World. But he did not start straight for 弟子规 class. They go by stage, 弟子规 is at the second stage.

Below is the television program segment that Master Jing Kong 淨空法師 emphasizes on the importance of di zi gui <弟子规> which has been successfully implemented in China 中国汤池小镇

How should we (principals, teachers and parents) teach children nowadays who threaten to commit suicide if we are too stern to them or misbehave if we don't discipline the them?

Teach di zi gui. By implementing di zi gui in China Tang Chi, people will be awakened to reality and see the truth.

Would like to share this insightful book that offers useful parenting tips:

What have we taught our child? (Author: Chen Wen Qing)

What should the parents teach their child?

                    (1) Behaviour and manner will vary depending on the situation, like concert hall, playground, restaurant or home. Parents need to guide their kids constantly, so that the kids will behave appropriately in different occasion without being a nuisance to others.

                    (2) Converse gently and clearly with pleasant words as well as being empathetic, will enable the child to gain popularity everywhere.

Show kindness spontaneously.By treating others with respect will enable the child to garner friendship.

Need to teach the child to greet others, even for neighbours that we met in the lift, we can smile and nod our head or show appreciation to the bus driver verbally when we take public transport.

Show gratitude to parents who fetch the kids to and fro school.

Personality is the best cosmetic, good family education is akin to a well-fitting clothing that complement integrity. :rahrah:

                        ?
