All About T-Score

I just met 1 lady in park whose DD is going to P2 in 2013. Asked her how her DD is doing at academics in school.
She told me \" I do not put undue pressure on my daughter. Its ok for her if she is not the topper in the class..
I will just be content if she can get around 260 in PSLE\"
and I was like  :faint: :nailbite: -

Hahaha....she's saying her DD may not the topper in the top class, but still amongst the top!!!I just met 1 lady in park whose DD is going to P2 in 2013. Asked her how her DD is doing at academics in school.

Actually at P2, unless you have an older kid, sometimes it's hard to know what is the \"achieveable\" T-score for your kid. Moreover, only the top scorers tend to share stories, so you will keep hearing kids who got 260 and above. Won't be surprised if she is in this boat and not aware of the \"real\" \"PSLE world\" out there! -

What is a good score in PSLE?
for a student who always scored >90% in sch, a 240 in PSLE would be :yikes: :lightrod: :faint:
:frustrated: :stompfeet: :stupid: :spank:   :heresmyfish:
for a student who always scored <60% in sch, a 240 in PSLE world be :rahrah: :celebrate: :congrats: :salute: :hi5:
So, what is a good score in PSLE?

I know..for my DD1 who got 93 in all 3 subjects in P2, I just hope she can reach 230~240.. That would be good enough.. :xedfingers:

But kids being kids.. they will make careless mistakes..due to stress from peers, school and parents being mounted on them.. nothing is guaranteed..
Just pray that our kids are able to stay healthy thru out this journey and do their best.. :xedfingers: -
Hi guys I took my PSLE in 2008. I got 3A* and 1A (for chinese) and got a Tscore of 254. The same year, a friend of mine got 2A* and 2As and got 254 as well. So it’s really quite hard to predict what you will get…

Hi,
Can some expert estimate the parameter to calculate this year T score?
Thank you -

The range for A is very wide. My boy gets 2A* & 2A & he only get 250. It depends whether it is high or low end A. Don't even know how they derive the grade. -

For the boy from Pathlight who scored 273 with only 3 subjects (no MT), I wonder how his T-score was calculated.
