how they teach Di Zi Gui ?
is it sing song (besides memorize verses) - exactly like what the did in that small town in China ?

What should the parents teach their child?

一、行为举止要视场合而定，

演奏厅、游戏场、大饭店、家庭中各有不同的表现，父母要不断叮咛一一指导，而且要，让孩子动如脱兔、静似处子，分寸拿捏恰到好处，不会扰乱他人才是有家教的好孩子。

(1) Behaviour and manner will vary depending on the situation, like concert hall, playground, restaurant or home. Parents need to guide their kids constantly, so that the kids will behave appropriately in different occasion without being a nuisance to others.

二、说话要轻声细语、字字分明，谈吐大方、用词优雅，加上一颗善体人意的心，一定会让孩子人气百分百、处处受欢迎。
(2) Converse gently and clearly with pleasant words as well as being empathetic, will enable the child to gain popularity everywhere.

三、主动释放善意，待人亲切有礼，多一分尊重，少一分傲慢，自然赢得他人的友谊。
Show kindness spontaneously.By treating others with respect will enable the child to garner friendship.

在社区中进进出出，别忘了教孩子向管理员道早问好，电梯里虽然不是很熟的邻居，我们也可以面带微笑、点头致意，上下公车，大方地说出心中的感激，
Need to teach the child to greet others, even for neighbours that we met in the lift, we can smile and nod our head or show appreciation to the bus driver verbally when we take public transport.


就算爸妈接送上下课，也要习惯表达谢意，点点滴滴累积无比的热力，孩子就会像暖暖的冬阳，人们总是迫不及待的想要拥抱他。
Show gratitude to parents who fetch the kids to and fro school.

气质是最好的化妆品，良好的家教更如端庄合身的服饰，衬托出高贵的人格，让人爱不释手、赞叹不已！

The First person to benefit from Di zi gui will be YOURSELF. :imcool:

When you practise Di zi gui, you can attain Harmony both physically and spiritually. Your thought and action will naturally correspond with the standards (standards that synchronise with moral values) .

Does anyone know where to buy the "zhonghua dizigui" DVDs in Singapore? I saw a few episodes on Youtube but would prefer DVD for easier viewing.


Dangdang.com seems to sell it but is this online store safe and reliable?

Appreciate for your sharing. I had watched it early last year and really amazed with Master Ching Kong’s effort to make impossible to possible.

I had watched most of the DI Zhi Gui’s real life stories via youtube. I came to know the right values after watching all these meaningful youtube. However, i must say it really takes a lot of effort to pratice in our daily life.

We were the happiest parent when we knew that our son got into Mee Toh Primary School which is very important for 1 big reason - the moral education. Kids get to learn Di Zhi Gui and glad that the principal encourages P1 onwards to attend Dharma class.

so lucky to get into a buddhist school, I wanted to but we stayed too far…anyway nw I hope have new dharma class for my kid to attend during wkends

He used to take his di zhi gui from blossom society as well, he has completed the course… I know they have a new writing class bt the time clash with his enrichments hope they can open more new timings

Is it important to know 弟子规? Do they teach 弟子规 in primary schools?


My boy will be in K2 next year, his school doesn’t teach him 弟子规 since he is in a Church Kindy. Whereas his cousinsin K1 and P2 were taught 弟子规 in school.

You need not to buy the dvds. It is available in lots of temple.

1. Buddhist Life Mission (Tel: 6836 9088)
It has whole series of Zhong Hua 8 moral stories (cartoon) which is air in Channel 8 on sat or sun morning.

2. Amitabha Buddhist Society (Tel: 6744 7444)
It has Di Zhi Gui/DVD/CD/Book

3. Kong Meng San Phor Kark see Monastery (Tel 68495300)
It has a lot of books / children stories /DVD

I got the whole series of ZhongHua Di Gi Gui's cartoon in a vegetarian coffee shop in JB. I believe you could get it in Singapore but i am not sure where exactly the place is.

Dear Dawnie,


It is extremely important to learn & pratice Di Zhi Gui (not reciting only). It is not easy though as we didn’t learn in our young days too. So, now we have to learn along with kids.

Di Zhi Gui is nothing to do with religion. It is one of our chinese culture which has long forgotten by us. Do spend a bit more time to explore postings & links by lovelydaughter.

The chinese paper had shared that a company ( if i am not wrong that is audit/accounting firm) who pratice Di Zhi Gui and Lun Yi with great success. Break-even within a year of running business. Its staff are all required to learn these two books.
