Only 1 uniform OR sport is good enough. Can join clubs also as alternative

Hi, if we already cfmed a place at HCI, would it advisable to get our Sec 1 books & school uniforms now (if the bookshop is open) or should we wait till 19Dec to join the crowd. Is the Sec 1 booklist already available? Thanks.

Nutty mum, I've already gotten the uniform & textbook from HCI school bookstore. It's open from 9am to 3pm from Mon to Fri, & 9am to 12pm on Sat till end Dec. The bookstore is near the High School canteen.

Bookstore lady advise to get early as it's less crowded. Beside, sec 1 students need to try out for uniform, so it'll be difficult to try if the crowd is there. Btw, I bought 3 set of uniform & 3 set of PE attire. They only receive cash & cheque. Overall, I paid about $300. So prepare the cash.

I told them my DS is from Isparks in 2013 sec 1 & they pack the books for me. Is your DS in Ispark too?

DS has not decided on the 3rd language yet. He's only interested in Spanish, but there's no Spanish this year. So, he's considering whether to take up any 3rd language. I'm not in favour of taking up 3rd language unless he's interested in it. If he really want, I actually prefer him to take Malay language for practical reason. He has yet to think for CCA.

My DS from mainstream accepted the HCI CO via DSA (SMOPS). Today, we received a call from HCI to ask my DS to go for GEP Interview. I think it is because his PSLE result is quite good 27x. Can any HCI parent with similar past experience share what this interview is about? What would they ask?

Students are expected to reach by 7.20 on a normal school day. Lower Sec students are dismissed at 1.30pm but tests and CCA may result in students being dismissed at 6+.

I’m newbie. My DS will be at HCI next yr too. Can anyone advise other than the school bookshop, where else can we get the school uniform? thanks.
