They are not afraid to fight for their rights. I respect that. They are from a different background who have not learnt to accept the Singapore way of doing things. They may not be aware of the cost of living here before they come. But once here, they have to live here, eat here, and face the same inflation we face. If even foreign workers find this hard, what about the rest of us who have lost our jobs and have to accept odd jobs or go self-employed (without the glamour of those big bosses), unemployed, or to accept a lower-paying job or be a SAHM and continue to hope our future can be brighter?
The fella should be punished for brainwashing the others to go on strike. From the news this morn, understand they are going back to work but this episode should never have started...or it will happen again. Those China drivers think they are living in a lawless society? :mad:janet_lee88:

Strikes are legal in singapore. in this case, sufficient notice was not given to the employer before the employees decided to go on strike. -
With increasingly rising costs, which one of us is having it easy? None.
Food, transport (school bus fares) etc etc…no one is enjoying inflation and a possible recession.
Even back home in their native China, they have laws to obey. So when they have decided to come here to work, what is the reason for going on strike?
Do we Singaporeans go on strike if we are unhappy? -
