2013 New bus vendor


The old bus vendor quoted me $116 - $127 (yr 10-'12), 2-way transport -Compassvale St to school.

The new vendor quoted me $220 for yr 2013.

Hi, I had a brief conversation with my girl's P4 form teacher and found out from her that the average T-score for this year is much higher. As we are awared, MOE do not encourage schools to flash out their Top students so she can't reveal. For your guide, last year was 270. She told me this year was higher. I also asked about the average T-score for the girls for the past years, she replied between 220-230s...but she went on to say that this year the girls had done very well overall thus bringing the average higher T-score (seems to suggest quite a number have 240s).

I also gathered from this teacher that quite a numbers of the girls has move on to RGS, SCGS, Cresent Girls and St Nicholas. She also mentioned that the top student does not necessary come from the top class as the top class is mainly for those who are very strong in Maths.

sorry JL Ng, your information is not fully true.

t score this year is 1 mark lower than last year. the average t score this year seems to have gone up to 240-ish. many did well. top scorers have been from top class so far. pupils are stream according to math results. the girls opting for st nicks, rgs, sjc and cedar girls are common.

It was brief conversation and the teacher didn’t specifically tell me what is the T-score this year…she mentioned its was higher on the average.

Good to know the average is 240-ish, it’s a good aveage T-score and even a point lower than 270 is good in my opinion. Yes agreed, girls opting for st nicks, rgs, sjc and cedar girls are common.

My girls are also in olgc. I saw the amount quoted for the busfare by the new bus vendor and it seems I'm not the only one suffering from the change of vendor. Last year, I paid $195 for the bus from Woodlands. This year the new vendor is quoting me $320 per child. I blew my top when I received the bus card :mad: 'Cos this wasn't the amount I was told when they called my hubby last year end. With 2 girls in the school now, I am expected to pay $640!! Anyway, I've called the school over this matter and am still waiting for their reply.

Any suggestion as to what we can do?
