      Essential:
The lowest score is 43. So is he or she consider \"it's the end\"!!!?

If I was he or she I would not think that it is the end as long as I have tried my best 😄 And if I heard that it was my friend I would give him or her a big :snuggles: and will not ask for confirmation of result as a form of respect :imanangel:

Is it true that 50% of NYPS kids are in the top 10% of the PSLE cohort? If it is true, then not all schools are equally good. Wonder how many % of them go to normal stream?

        is 47%, not 50%

        zero goes to normal stream

Including the foundation kids? No wonder HSK has difficulties convincing parents that all schools are good schools.[/quote]stats included all

        very few foundation kids anyway

Do you mean zero for 2012? I think it's not likely to be zero all these years because there are foundation students (even if the number is low).

Over all, its results are very impressive. However the number of GEP have to separate from mainstream, as few schools offer GEP.

Just to add about the spotlight on NYPS.

Personally, I take the exceptionally excellent results this year to be from the \"hunger\" factor. No one made the top list last year and hence the school really wanted to prove its might.

Motivation is a very important factor in achieving success.

That's an interesting way to look at it but I've never felt this way about the school - wants to prove their might or top the list. How i feel about the school is that it wants to leverage on the children's abilities and maximize their potential rather. It wants to help open as many windows as possible for the children.
