Went to Open House last Sat. Must say impressed with school's up-to-date facilities. Spacious as well.
Students on duty speak with confidence.
The current Sec 1 girls were seen prompting the CCAs with zest...
Teachers n the few Principals were readily available to answer queries by parents.
Conducive environment for learning which is V impt.
Too bad DD can't qualify.

I think Orientation is held next yr when sch opens, not in Dec.
French, Malay( Special Prog ) n Japenese Language are more popular. Distinction passes the highest.

I think (think) you can drop it, if you can't cope. MEP lessons are conducted once a week, during curriculum time for lower sec, and after curriculum time for upper sec. They will have their exams together with common tests/eoy. I have to stress that MEP is really for those who express interest in music, as I have some friends who were forced into it and can't cope as they don't like it.

I don't understand why these high scorer 260 above didnot apply IP programme the moment they received their results, instead choosing O level track. Guess some of them do regret.

There're a few reasons why these high-scorers didn't apply for IP. I do have a few friends like that. They said they like the family spirit here, and they believed that SN could provide a good and balanced school life and help them attain good results. Either that, or they don't like the stress of IP schools. It is quite demanding and I've heard \"horror stories\". Also, if the student does well enough in SN and thinks she can handle IP, she can choose to transfer out. No one I know regrets coming here; they look to SN as a...home.
But it all boils down to each individual's interests, really.
