you still keep your Fairfield report card ?

if Yes, enter Fairfield under Phase 2A(2), using report card.

If No, check your PSLE cert.
if cert has the school name "Fairfield Methodist primary" printed in PSLE cert, ok.
if cert no school name printed - pay $10 to MOE Customer Service centre (@ Buona Vista), to request for re-print your PSLE cert with your school name printed on it. Then show PSLE cert on registration day, enrol under Phase 2A(2).

Henry Park under Phase 2C less than 1 km - require balloting.
if you use grandparents address, will fall under (1 to 2 km) category - no chance to even ballot.

              a)
For Phase 2A2 is it confirm can get placing?

              No.
There is no guarantee for Phase 2A.

              Balloting will be conducted -
if the number of applications to a school exceeds the number of vacancies available in any of the phases, starting from Phase 2A(1) to Phase 3.

may refer P1 registration rules - concerning Balloting for vacancies :-

              b)
Why i use grandparents address will fall under 1 - 2km range?

For a child who is under the care of the grandparent or parent’s sibling , a
Statutory declaration is required for parents who wish to register their child using the address of the child’s grandparent/parent’s sibling that is within 2 km from the school of choice.

If SD is used, children will be balloted - together with other children residing between 1 and 2 km of the school.

Parents will be able to make a SD, if they meet / fulfill the eligibility criteria :

              • Both parents are working full-time at the time the statutory declaration was made;

              • The child is under the full time care of a grandparent or a parent’s sibling; and

              • The child’s grandparent or the parent’s sibling is not employed.

For more information on the Statutory Declaration, please visit:

                  hi,

i am still considering these 3 options but need more advise

Kong hwa - phase 2A2 as old boy (but distance is a problem as i stay in the north side)
Rosyth - phase 2B but more than 2km. i am worried about balloting
Anderson - phase 2B, sure can get in under phase 2B but recently anderson not dong too well after the ex principle left

my preferred choice is actually Rosyth but am worried about balloting as the birth rate for 2007 is slightly higher than 2006.

any feedback on this yr roysth balloting under phase 2B? any balloting?

Rosyth (Serangoon) is a popular, hotly contested school !

2012 Phase 2B Rosyth primary had 47 applicants, 43 vacancies.
Rosyth absorbed only SC kids, staying within 1 to 2 km.
SC parents more than 2 km - No chance to ballot.

Rosyth had places only for SC children residing within 2km of the school.
                      No balloting was conducted.

                      (refer tankee chart)

                      2012 Rosyth Phase 2C :-

                      balloting occured within 1 km.
                      113 applicants, 43 places

call up Kong Hwa school bus operator -
find out currently - is there any school bus go to your place fetch children ?
if No, you need to resolve daily transport issue yourself
                      ( big headache)
if Yes, find out how long is travelling time taken, to and fro ?

If the parents' NRICs show the grandparents' address, the distance category the child will be in depends on the actual distance between the house and the school.
