morning everybody! :salute:
so fast, half of the school holiday gone... -
good morning all.
I also dragged waking up before 6am daily when school starts next year.
Happy holidays!! -
Waking up before the sun rises takes more effort. Seems like we have a bunch of lazy bums here. So I have kaki kekeke.
If only school starts and ends later. Better still, let kids stay whole day in school like one lady MP said. -

Interesting & thought ot share with mummies here, was chatting with BF's mum about PSLE and she mentioned that UK used to have something similar to the PSLE which is called the Eleven Plus. They removed it around the 80's.
She liked it but found that it is an disadvantage to boys coz they are always playing and not in a mature mind to take the exam.
if you wish to know more, you can read it up here.

DD has a holiday assignment from her school. The Singapore Conversation. She is suppose to write down her thoughts about what the education scene would be like in 2030 and she needs to interview us about what we want education to be like in 2030.
This is what DD came up with
School to start later
Shorter school hours
longer holidays
e-textbooks (no need to carry heavy bags, carry ipad enough)
more projects
yearly exams still necessary or else how to know how we are doing or earn awards
PE to allow learning of more physical sports like roller blading, rock climbing
All teachers to teach only 1 subject
Smaller class size
All schools to be from P1 to Sec 4.
1st major exam at Sec 4
These are some of the things DD came up with. When I asked DS he said, go to school 3 days, 4 days rest. Thatβs all he came up with. -
