Using Relative's Address & Statutory Declaration
-
For my case, I'm staying next to my sis and am within 1km from Nanhua Pri. My initial plan to shift there is to send my DS to NH and I also plan to join RC to double secure my chance. However, after the GE, suay suay NH shifted to West Coast GRC while my GRC is Holland-Bukit Timah :frustrated:
I dropped from phase 2B to 2C!!!

Hi, I will be registering my son for P1 in 2014 under phase 2b. He is currently on full day Childcare. Can I use my mom’s address to qualify under 1-2pm if in future the school bus picks him from my pl (>2km) and drop off at my mom’s pl?
Any advise? -

Thanks for the information.
Btw, can the statutory declaration be used twice in phase 2b (if not successful in balloting) then 2c? -
KiddyLow:
statutory declaration is valid for the child's primary school registration, thus is independent of which phase. Thanks for the information.

Frankly speaking, I don't think statutory declaration is useful if the school is already balloting within 1 km regardless of the phases.

Hi, I’m planning to use my IL’s address to register for pri sch. My son has been under their care since he was born. My qn is: can I register for the sch’s after sch care if I make that statutory declaration? I’m hoping to put him in after sch care as he has nothing to do at my IL’s place and will get bored. Pls advise. Tks.

Senario 1.
The child is being looked after by grandparent who is not employed and the child studied in a kindergarten near the grandparent’s place. If both parents are working full-time, statutory declaration can be made. The grandparent’s address can be used for the purpose of registration. Now, at the point of declaration, both parents are working. Now what if one of the parents has left the job or converted to flexi hours, will the child be penalised by MOE? That means if the child can get balloted into a school, will MOE penalise the child just because one of the parent is no longer working full-time after statutory declaration was made. Anyone can advise? -

It is impossible for MOE to track all eventualities. MOE can only verify and use information that is true at the point of registration. As long as you can prove that both parents were gainfully employed when registering the child, it will be sufficient.Senario 1.
