I've just returned from my 10d/9n trip. Just a quick note, if you have hired Tony Su as your driver, beware. He didn't turn up but sent others without informing. Read more here

台北捷运公司今天表示,因应年底跨年、寒假及春节等假期,猫缆自12月3日起进行15天的年度保养,预定18日恢复载客服务。
so it is the cable car, not panda.
Either one, we are still disappointed!

Hi,
I just came back from my Taipei 8 days/7 nights trip last week. The trip was fun and I was so blessed that my 21 months old baby and all the 7 others in the tours enjoyed themselves too. Our itinerary : Taoyuan --> Tai Chung visited Fei Jia night market --> Dahu strawberry (not the season, thus no strawberry to pluck), Shengxing station, long teng bridge etc.. Cing Jing --> Sun Moon Lake --> Taipei.
We engaged this driver, his particular is as below. He is really good and helpful. His service really impressed us, but one thing that I was not satisifed was he assigned another driver to tour us around Taipei area when we reached there. The other driver is also ok, but not as good as him. He will ensure that we settled down, checked in to the hotel and all the luggages have been loaded to the rooms, then only left the place. He bought us milk tea and fruits for us to try along the journey. He is a stable driver, very good for family with elderly and young kids. If you want to engage his service, please specify to him that he will be the driver.

Hi to all,
I will be travelling to Taipei next week and staying at Caesar Park Hotel next to the Taipei Main Station for a couple of days.
As I choose the package without breakfast in the hotel, appreciate if any kaki here can tell me what to eat around that area.
Thanks -
What are the best months to visit Taipei?
Earthquake frequent there? -

Take MRT train to 善导寺 station which is one stop away. Take exit 5 (if you can't manage the long flight of stairs, then take exit 6's escalator and cross the main road). Coming out of exit 5, 华山市场 will be on your right.
There is a food court on the 2nd floor of 华山市场, but in the morning, only 阜杭豆漿 will be opened. They open from 5:30am till about noon. By 8am or so, it is not uncommon to see the queue snaking all the way to first floor!

Other than that, there are many eateries around the 善导寺 station area too. -
