I’ll let my DD build up her math (P2) foundation before abacus class, fulfill DD request. Let DD learn one-year or less abacus express class instead of two years.

Here in Malaysia the center that I go does provide questions that require the child to do not just abacus counting, mental maths but also with 3 pages of 25qs each with step-by-step counting procedures ( the child has to write out the steps) as in school, so the way I see in my DD's workbook, it is quite comprehensive and pretty amazing bc they plan out the entire course to also check through child's conventional step-by-step procedures...the problem with abacus is it's too rigid a method.

what is name of this centre ?
        you got the website ?
Hi,

I am looking for some good abacus class near buangkok crescent for my 3.5 yr old daughter. What is the ideal age to start abacus class?
            Thanks.

Hi, my 4yr+ old boy is currently attending abacus class with CMA @ Punggol branch. He started abt 1-2 mths b4 he turned 4yrs old. There's is no ideal age. As long as your daughter can recognise and write numbers, she can attend the class.

If you are interested in signing up for CMA class for your daughter, you can send me a PM, there is a 8% referral discount for both parties. 😄

            HI,

Can you pm me the centre of the name and what does CMA means?

I'm not sure how to use the multiplication on abacus but at the moment CMA has a song which teaches multiplication. My 4yr old can memorise the times table quite easily.
Hi All Mummies

My son has been attending CMA since 5 yrs old (this yr 7yrs). They not only teaches him how to use abacus calculation but also mental calculation.
Its really helps in his maths. He is now my walking caculator.

For how long should kids attend abacus classes once they have achieved mental alertness and visual computations?
