May I know what is 'non-feeder' means?

It means not affiliated to the Sec sch.

DS only managed to get into his 3rd choice. I’m still in a dilemma to appeal. Does anyone know how long will it take for the registration tomorrow?

            PSLE Woory guy:
This year there will be lots of appeal cases going around, with the increase in COP for a lot of schools. Parents & kids, all the Best to you for your appeal. But be realistic and learn to like the school you are posted during registration tomorrow, whilst waiting for your appeal results. I hope whichever school you go, you will be happy!

My son got 255+2. Recieve a SMS this morning. He got in to Catholic IP. I presume cos the SMS says "Posted to CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL - INTEGRATED PROGRAMME, EXPRESS course"

But why do they add a EXPRESS behind?

I hope this is not too late, and you are not on the way there yet. Please bring along all the pri sch results and certs, and be prepared to highlight your kid's other achievements in addition to academic. Check the sch's CCA, if your kid can contribute to their preferred CCA, be prepared to highlight that. Hope this helps.

Hi Pen88n. Have you heard of cases where appeal is successful despite no contribution from CCA? When will the result of appeal be released? Does it mean that the kid does not purchase the textbooks and uniform from the sch he/she is posted to tomorrow first just in case the appeal is successful?

                      Thanks for your advice!

There are of course such cases. However, given keen competition, whatever you can list that can help will hopefully give your kid a better edge.

Tomorrow you can report to posted school for registration and do not purchase the textbooks and uniform yet. The appeal results can come out anytime between now to end of year, some schools may even contact in 1st week Jan.

However, I strongly recommend parents be positive with the kid when visiting the posted school tomorrow, even if you have submitted an appeal to somewhere else. Look for positive side of the posted school, learn more about the school, find out the CCA your kid can join, encourage them to know more classmates, etc. The posted school is your reality, the appeal case is a hope. Don't end up with an unhappy kid who resisted going to the posted school in case an appeal does not come through. There will be successes and disappointments, so be prepared and make your kid be resilient to accept the outcome. All the Best!!!
