My friend's dd got 259 but didn't get into NJC. She called the school, was told the COP is 257, the admin staff asked my friend to call MOE to check. How come like that?

How come you get posted to Assumption English School when you did not put in as one of your 6 choices. Are the 6 choices you put in way above your T-Score?

Have you checked the COP of the 6 choice schools? Are they all above your T-score?

Based on last year's COP in the booklet, if you have put in all 6 choice schools which have COP same or above your T-score, then you will run the risk of not getting into any of the 6 schools you have chosen when the COP of schools go up this year. The advice has always been to put in 1st 2 choices (2-3 points above your T-score), next 2 choices (about same as your T-score) and last 2 choices (2-3 below your T-score). This will ensure you cover a range choice school should the COP of schools move either way.

259 inclusive / exclusive of HCL? NJC does not recognise HCL extra points.
Anyway, I do not think NJC COP can be 257 this year (this is COP of last year). Probably more like 259 this year.
