COP 2012 - For Secondary Schools in 2013

ACSI is not an average school by the way. Anyway, small fish in big pond sometime just mati. Although people say what matter is the water but I think it is about whether the school gives you opportunity to try. People like to invest in those that promise good returns so big fish always get the opportunities more. Small fish need more time and effort to show results, that's when becoming a big fish in small pond helps. The more opportunities you have in trying, the more confident and better you become. In secondary school, it's not all about doing well in studies anymore, one has to grow in confidence and self esteem by doing things to contribute to the school community.
It depends. Do you prefer to be in the top of an average school or bottom of a top school? Just work hard & he will be able to transfer to a better class.mummy so kiasu:

To my experience, 263 to appeal into RI will be placed in the last of the last class.
263 in ACS(I) would be in the top 2nd class.
Why you want to be the last???
BTW, I don't know anyone in ACSI
[/quote]Agree.....
A close fren of my gal whose brother had chosen ACSI over RI despite having an agg score of 27+....
There were some others whose scores similar to him were there too....
To each his own.... -

My neighbour’s kid, a brilliant boy from ACS Junior, also chose ACSI over RI. Comes from family of ex-Rafflesians from grandfather to aunties and uncles and their spouses to his parents. His mum told us that he talked to them couple by couple telling them to let him go ACSI. We find it refreshing that a kid of his age has such convictions, indeed to each his own. -
How about Yishun Town COP?

Does anyone know how the HCL +1, +2, +3 work?
eg, if a school cut off is 248. A child will be admitted with 247+2? -

Totally agreed.
I knew of a boy. Head prefect of a popular pri sch, school team of a popular sport that had won several zone and national trophies. with T-score of 266. Get into RI via S1 posting, not from GEP. After 3 months, he requested to transfer out of RI. In RI, he was in the worst class, there were many \"head perfects\", many sport school team captains. He was \"nothing\" in RI, feel damn \"small\" and demoralize.
again : it is to each of its own.......
