sweetbaby:
hi
do your kid has a cda account if he/she the firstborn/2007 baby? or cda account applies for second child onwards? thx
Hi sweetbaby,
CDA did not apply to baby born in 2007.
If I am not wrong, I remembered receiving a letter fr MCYS to open an CDA account for my DS1 (2007 baby) about 2 years ago in order to receive a sum of $$ (about $400) for him.
Maybe you can call & check.
cheers -

Yes, I agree with you. For 1st born in 2007, the govt indeed deposited $ for the child to start his/her first CDA account, either OCBC or Standard Chartered. However, there is no dollar to dollar matching for 1st born in 2007.sweetbaby:

LeeTaiTai,
I sent you a pm (concerning Chinese) -
Hi there I’m a newbie here. My son was born May 2007 and I’ll be stressed when I have to register him for Pri 1.
-
The stressful part for me is whether the child has been prepared adequately in terms of social, physical, intellectual, creativity and social-emotional skills.
