Actually yesterday my DD got confused about what the maths teacher said and informed me that she has to finish on sponge chapter 1 completely. When I heard this, I was like :faint: :yikes: :scared:
There were so many questions and she was only able to finish few pages..I scolded her a lot yesterday.. Poor kid..
Later today she realised that teacher only ask her to remove chapter 1 pages and staple them together for submission.
I really wanted to :spank: her.. But in a way relieved as she already completed today's homework yesterday due to this mistake. :rotflmao:
The teacher never teach them anything in the on sponge book.. Just gave homework.. Wonder if this trend will continue in the future :scratchhead: -

Believe homework will start flowing in next week. Daughter told me the English teacher is very strict...in my heart, I said HOORAY... -
No homework yet for mine. No spelling lists yet. Btw, you mean science also got spelling?

Hi Janet,
I felt like run over by a bullet train when heard the homework and all. Just got to know that DD has to write something in her English journal also.
Die lah don’t know what it is supposed to be… DD has gone for taekwondo ( don’t know if spelling is correct)
Later have to ask her…as usual she forgot to tell me about it…
Hi nicnac,
I have heard that some of the schools do prepare spelling list for science. There are many new words that they learn. If they make mistake in keywords during OE, marks would surely be cut… -

For Science spelling, I think the words would be like 'stem', 'fruit', 'root', mammal. My son had journal to write...do not correct any mistakes, it is to encourage writing and expressing herself.Hi Janet,

DS was supposed to have spelling today but was on medical leave for these 2 days so missed it. Not sure if Chinese spelling list had been given out. English spelling list was given out last week so that it was learnt over the weekend.
