if your child attend co-ed IP Sec school like NJC, TJC, RVHS -

how do you teach your Secondary girl / son not to be involved in BGR ?

Dunno - I never do much? Our 2 older ones gone thru co-ed. Eldest finish JC, and the 2nd eldest in Sec 4 has been in co-ed since sec 1. So far no interest leh. They just happily observe their friends who are pairing up (!!!).

I think it's not possible to control emotions.
We can only teach them sexual responsibility, especially avoid coming into close physical contact with the opp sex and also going out on single dates until they are old (?) enough, respect for each other's body etc.

Then again, in reality, how they react to our preachingq is still a BIG '?'

son told me about the pairing up in class when he entered sec 1.

this year, there is this boy who even called his other half, 'mrs xx' :faint:
asked son what he thinks about this, and his reply is :siao:

Son: so young and he is determined this girl is for life?

To me, 16 is also too young, prob 18 is abt right, Uni age will be best ...haha..

I have a 16 yr old boy too ... since many moons ago I've hinted/said directly that 18 is the magical no., anything below is not acceptable cos will be too young, not mature enough ...yada yada yada... Guess it has gone to his head, althou I know he has/had some puppy love crushes ...wh are harmless cos even his mama had them ard his age.

But if yr 16yr old's puppy love is more serious, then may have to thread more carefully cos sometimes for teens, the more pple disagree, the more they want to go ahead...If both of them can study together and sch is not affected, we might have to give in for now and let nature takes its course ( die a natural death or a lifelong partner?)
