Out of scope of discussion but can I check if anyone has checked out the sec 1 exam papers are available yet. What I can find is very dated ones 2007-2008. Vendor says check back after CNY but the first test will start next week.

Hubby told me the P said all students must pass english to be promoted to sec 2. End of orientation and honeymoon...lessons begin next Monday.
No more TV, games, iPad...in short, entertainment of any kind.

Ahmmm, that's a sure way to make them hate education and schooling in general. I'm sure you didn't mean that.

I believe everything has a priority. Finish school work first, after that, I don't care how you spend your time.

Did you try the shops at Bras Basah Complex? I thought I saw more current papers but not too sure becos my focus was on the primary schools' papers. The shop I visited was Knowledge Book Centre,

My kids only play iPad games & watch TV programmes over weekends & during school holidays. No time for entertainment on weekdays. Have to do homework, learn spelling & study for test.

since we do not go back to parents' place for meals, time is better controlled, but no access to newspapers. so i get him to read news on ipad.
orientation is over, lessons start today...there is no time for ipad games.
