A teacher told me student who gets into Express class is considered a good score in PSLE.

It’s all relative. To me, a good score is >260.

Yeah. All my kids got bad scores. < 260, <250 -
It is relative. If the child had done his/her best, then the score is good already. Must be realistic lah…

I have the same belief too. Hence I rewarded the effort a lot more than the results. Rewarded her after her last paper - way before the actual results. -
Yeah, it is very relative. To me, as long as a child did his best, he got the best!

Someone told me 250 & above is consider a good score. Top 10% of the PSLE cohort. So one of your kids got good score & the other one is close to good score. They should be in good schools.Skyed:

Assuming 45k students in a cohort, I feel :
>250 = excellent score = top 10% of PSLE cohort = top 4.5k students
>220 = good score = top 50%? of PSLE cohort = top 22.5k students
looking at the schools with 220 cutoff, I still think they are good schools.
Nevertheless, every child excel in different ways. It is for them to find out and when they move to sec/tertiary, they find their own interest and they will excel.
