JC 1 (except those joining after o level) starts on 17 Jan. And JC starts only at 8am. But there should be seniors (secondary 2-4) using the gate.

There was a land and a sea expedition. Boys are divided into teams. Some will do the land first and some do the sea first. The sea expedition consists of rowing two way between the Ubin island to the main land (singapore). The land expedition was a long trek on Ubin itself. [This was for 2011 camp].

Any of ur DS already in Floorball ?

Do they practise 3 times a week ( or are all sports thrice a week anyway) & is it very competitive ie are there a lot of competitions to attend ?

RI Floorball is not very good haha. But yeah those and they also train during holidays. Competitions are during seasons.

Training is all the same. Sports CCA students generally have to work harder. Uniform Groups in RI are all less hectic for some reason. Red Cross is definitely the least hectic, but they are all quite different

DON'T JOIN A CCA JUST TO SLACK!!!

Uniform groups can really shape a person’s character at this point. All of them give TONS of FREE CCA points (basically don’t need do anything also can get)

If you must know, Uniform groups are different in the following ways

NPCC - Huge emphasis on discipline and DRILLS(oh my god the drills), lots of leadership opportunities. Relatively tiring but depends on your effort put in of course.

NCC - moderate emphasis on discipline and drills. More emphasis on physical activities. The current teacher-in-charge is very enthu. Very easy to slack.

Scouts - Practically no drills.Emphasis on camping activities(obviously). Very tiring. Long and tiring camps. Leadership opportunities are plenty, but in a different way because more initiative is needed on your part.

Boys Brigade - Similar to scouts but do different activities, such as roller-skating, cross country and of course the lame BB stuff that they always do. Drills are of more emphasis than scouts but still not a main activity(like NPCC omg) Not sure about leadership opp

Red Cross - The slackest of the lot. Learns the most practical knowledge, though most of my RC friends tell me they forget everything once they leave. Has decent drills. Very very easy to slack.
