I know that Loving Heart Multi-Service Centre at Jurong collects assessment books, because they have a free tuition service for needy students. Not sure if they accept clothing, though.

I was uncomfortable at the fact that i was told to leave my items at a collection point at the Salvation Army (the one near Potong Pasir). Really don’t know what happens to the items in the end. So recently my dh brought my son to an orphanage in Kovan area to donate his books and toys. My dh shared that the kids were so happy and went "waaaaaaaaah" when they peeked inside the bags. My son also had a glimpse in a concrete manner, as to how fortunate he is/has been all this while. I have decided not to sell my kids’ items anymore online. Donating is more fulfilling.


Would appreciate if some can advise me where to donate my boy’s chinese story books. The orphanage i mentioned is a non-chinese organization.
