Hiya buds :rahrah: :rahrah:
So... I'm not that bad a mom, eh?
That was quite a sharing (after such a loooong time)
I dunno how bad a mom you are , but I can tell you one thing:
on T-score basis, you are in the faaa......r right side of the bell. Meaning you score more than 300.
Bless your kiddos they are so endearing.
Thanks for reminding me about that nagging. :snuggles:
Seems like when things have been getting a little out of hand, the powers-that-be manage to send a message to me. And this time you were that messenger.
Yep, it seems like its shut-up and listen time for me.

..........whether the chief is able to meet this self-set target within 16 days! This works out to around 61 posts per day you know!PiggyLalala:
... why chiefkiasu wondered so much today?
Because CKS wants to reach 10,000 posts before CNY
I know I won't even come close to 1000. But I would expect the chief to exceed 10000 in no time because this forum is a large part of CKS's life for as long as it exist for all to enjoy. -
why our $1 coin has an octagon imprint?
From what I gathered, it has to do with fengshui. You see, around the time when the MRT was conceptualized and adamantly pushed ahead by the late Mr Ong (MND), fengshui masters were either consulted or came forward to forewarn that the MRT was a bad move because it'll affect the good fengshui that Singapore enjoyed. The argument against it was that, by digging underground, we were damaging the 'dragon stomach' which in turn will do harm to Singapore's fengshui. Our economy and, thus, our prosperity would be in jeopardy.
What to do then since there was no turning back on that mega project? Well, flood the country with baguas (8 trigrams) to counter the negativity caused by digging underground. Thus, the new $1 coin with the octagon imprint was introduced in 1987, in line with the initial opening of the MRT section between Yio Chu Kang and Toa Payoh (underground stations still incomplete then).
Just coincidence? Go figure... -

Being introduced to this site and hanging around here sometimes makes me wonder what it would have been like if my parents hadn't whisked us overseas when I was 8 and we'd stayed in Singapore instead? Would I have done well in PSLE? Managed to get in to a good sec school? Made it to a local uni? I'll never know...
I got whisked away overseas at age 9, came back at age 15, continued on with O levels, A levels, NUS route. So yeah, you could totally have done it.2ppaamm:
If you had the chance to go back to high school again, knowing what you know now, would you?
I will... I dreamt I went back to my JC and wore the white and green uniform and completed my 'A' levels with straight As..
Note: had to repeat my Sec 3 and had exemption from MT since I'd just returned from a monolingual coutry and was educationally 1-2 years behind in science n maths. -
Have you wondered how bb managed to track the mummy in the dark while asleep?
bb sleeps with me, some will frown on this, not suppose to co-sleep with bb for fear of accidentally suffocating the bb. There were newspaper articles abt such accidents. But it works well for me, though not advocating such sleeping arrangements hor.
I'm still nursing bb, 2.5 yos. The thing is whichever way both of us sleep, sometimes she sleeps in opp direction as me and sometimes I sleep on another part of the bed, not my usual spot, she will still be able to find me with her eyes closed, and start her nursing, in the middle of the night.
It's like a radar thing :rotflmao: -

ChiefKiasu:
There is a conspiracy theory that the Model method is perpetuated for the sake of branding Singapore's Math-teaching methodology. Heard this from a school teacher
Model drawing not allowed in sec school? I suspect it maybe more of a lack of opportunity to use model drawing.Augmum:
Why is the use of \"forcing primary pupils to use model drawing solving method\" for maths BUT
when comes to secondary school, only to realise that \"No model drawing method is allowed\" to solve similar kinda of maths questions ??
