For PL, he wants to argue that he was having EMAs with 3 women? Good luck to him. If I have just won a big case, I probably wouldn't want to risk my reputation just gained on a case like this. -

His EMA is his private affairs and as long as it does not affect his work, there is no need for him to inform his bosses.3Boys:

If one were having an EMA with a vendor, he would hardly report that he was in a personal relationship with that person, would he?
However, once that person in that EMA becomes a vendor to a project that he is supposed to sign off for approval, he needs to report it as clearly there is a conflict of interest and potentially a magnet to CPIB probe if he fails to do so.
I understand the need the keep the 'appearance' of the lack of potential conflicts-of-interest, but even in a situation where there is a conflict-of-interest, it does not mean there was wrongdoing, as evidenced by the discharge of NBG.
This is the trap NBG fell into. He could not report it because it would have caused grave personal impact, and by not reporting, the CPIB felt compelled to prosecute, in order to keep the public happy. I don't think even THEY thought that the tender itself was biased. But the way the Singaporean public is these days.........better not be a civil servant. -

it's being a 'high level' civil servant that people have toxic thoughts about
this saga is like the public execution of someone macham death of thousand cuts.
and to think the olde days of pillories and executions were over

Even when there is no wrong-doing, the public are out there baying for blood at ANY suggestion of trouble, real or not.
Such is the cynicism...
