I like agoda.com !! The price is pretty reasonable and much cheaper than the hotel website.

If you like to stay home away from home in US try http://www.vrbo.com/

I used http://hoteldiscountdeals.org/ to check the room rates and cheap flight rates, it helps to compare from different websites and gives me all the rates in one glance.

I used Expedia Singapore to book my last trip to Hong Kong.
I think the hotel was $50 cheaper per night than we checked at the Hotel’s official online website (Marriott). -
I always book at http://www.hotelclub.com/visa. You can also choose the currency to be billed to you. I always choose SGD at least no need worry about the exchange rate.
so far i compare, this website is the cheapest but only applicable for visa card holders only. -
I think zuji is good http://www.zuji.com/

I have used a no. of hotel booking websites, but I think it still depends on whether there are promotion going on those websites. I always compare their prices with the hotel itself and travel agents rate. For e.g. this march school holidays, I booked a hotel in JB through travel agent for S$112 nett per night for a triple room with Breakfast. whereas the websites are much more expensive by more than S$20 each room per nite. As I am booking for 3 rooms and for 2 nites, that’s a lot of savings.
So IMO, always compare prices in order to get better deal. -
I used Agoda for most of my trips. I have even redeemed the points earned to knockoff the final price payable.
Others which I have tried are Expedia and PYO. -
Agree most of the time http://www.agoda.com gives the best rates and with the loyalty $, you can get quite a good deal. Do note however that most of the time, the price listed in the payment page excludes 10% service fees + 7% hotel taxes, or what other taxes. So you still need to add these taxes to get to the final price you are paying.
Book early as they offer good deals for early birds and for some hotels, they have FREE Cancellation (good if you have yet to decide where to stay and wanna lock in the good deal).
Other site you might want to consider is http://www.AirbnB.com.
Stay in apartments and usually their rates are way cheaper than what hotels in the same vicinity offer. Bangkok and Taiwan seems popular on this site.
Have a great holiday!
