Hotel Booking Websites
-
I used Agoda for most of my trips. I have even redeemed the points earned to knockoff the final price payable.
Others which I have tried are Expedia and PYO. -
Agree most of the time http://www.agoda.com gives the best rates and with the loyalty $, you can get quite a good deal. Do note however that most of the time, the price listed in the payment page excludes 10% service fees + 7% hotel taxes, or what other taxes. So you still need to add these taxes to get to the final price you are paying.
Book early as they offer good deals for early birds and for some hotels, they have FREE Cancellation (good if you have yet to decide where to stay and wanna lock in the good deal).
Other site you might want to consider is http://www.AirbnB.com.
Stay in apartments and usually their rates are way cheaper than what hotels in the same vicinity offer. Bangkok and Taiwan seems popular on this site.
Have a great holiday! -

I use this too. I also find that it offers the best rate compared to other websites when I did research on the hotels for my Melbourne trip. But of course compare with other website too just in case they have promotion. But most of bookings are still with the above website unless they don't have any available.I always book at http://www.hotelclub.com/visa. You can also choose the currency to be billed to you. I always choose SGD at least no need worry about the exchange rate.
so far i compare, this website is the cheapest but only applicable for visa card holders only. -

I just booked taipei hotel via pyotravel.com. They have good rates for cityinn plus hotel.
Booking direct with city inn is still the cheapest -
I recently found out from a friend that Hotels.com gives you a free night of stay for every 10 nights that you book. I tried it and I must say that it is quite worth it. The rates are pretty good too. But I realized that they charge a small administrative fee - my credit card bill did not match the e-mail invoice. But it’s a small fee.

I always use booking.com too. I have booked a couple of x n have no prob too..
Same here, I always use booking.com because you don't have to pay a deposit at all till you reach your destination. Although you may have to leave your credit card number, I have no problems so far!
No, they don't issue a voucher. What I do is print out the confirmation email and show it at the hotel. The main thing they look for is the confirmation code and name of customer. I have used them to book hotels in the US and Europe and have had no problems.slmkhoo:
Hi,
Can i ask those that have done booking for hotels on booking.com - Do booking.com issue you hotel voucher? Cos i only receive email saying that my booking is confirm.
I used Agoda once. Agoda give pdf file hotel voucher.
Thanks. -
I would go direct to the hotel website safer. At times, it is cheaper to book one room for each day instead of multiple days. I did this when I went over to nyc, USA. Not sure why this happens. Very interesting indeed.

I personally like http://www.wego.com.sg/hotels and Agoda. Both work good.
