Not sure if this can help, but saw this in an advert somewhere online, so I thought might as well share it here:

\"I am an ex-primary school teacher. I have more than 10 years of teaching experience.I specialized in teaching children with learning difficulties/disorder (e.g., dyslexia, ADHD, autism) who are attending mainstream primary school. My qualifications include Dip Ed, DISE and BEd(SpEd). I operate from my office near City Hall. Drop me an email at [email protected] if you would like to find out more. Thanks!\"

      🙂
      Thank you! I just emailed.

I think scott's cod liver oil works too. I saw from documentary Child of Our Time. It is much cheaper.

        Is it those liquid type?

Yes. I bought the one with orange flavor.

          Summer tan:
Hi anyone has any food nutritionist to recommend that will help reduce hyperactivity in child? I understand gluten free food are recommended. But when I surf around I couldn't really make out exactly what are these gluten free food that a 5 yo child can take. Thanks in advance.

          Hi Summer Tan,
You are looking at biomedical intervention? Perhaps you can go to Dr. Erwin Kay for advice.

Gluten is found primarily in wheat and also other products like oats. My 7yo is currently on a gfcf (gluten free and casein free diet). He takes special bread and cereal for breakfast and snacks. For these (and more) products, I usually go to Brown Rice Paradise at Tanglin Mall, or Back2Basics at Telok Blangah.

          Hope it helps

            Hi ArielMermaid,

Did you see any visible difference after going on a gfcf diet? How long before you noticed the difference?

When DS went on a vegie diet, he was like an angel in terms of behaviour. Not sure about concentration for work though.

Hi, vegi diet meaning no meat? Wow. My concern is my son will become skinny. Or will he not?

Yes, completely vegetarian for 5 days. But that was only during the hols. It's very difficult to go on a fully vegie diet during the school term. But I do try to exclude onion, garlic and milk from his current diet.

Just something to think about - if you plan to start excluding things from your child’s diet, do it one at a time, maybe for a couple of weeks. If you exclude lots of things at once and you see improvement, you won’t know what caused the change. It will be easier to maintain a diet with a few exclusions than if you exclude a large no. of things because you don’t know which ones actually trigger negative effects.
