Automatic dustbin

If they are still under warranty, you can send them back for re-programming.Lucky you!
Like you I have two . But I misplaced the instruction manuals and did not install the programs properly .So now they work intermittently.
Most of the time, I have to empty the bins myself.
Otherwise, you can try troubleshooting yourself:
a. Find and press their reset buttons. They are usually found at the bottom of the unit. Sometimes it is better for you to drain them of power first before pressing the reset button.
b. Try to uninstall Facebook, Twitter, SMS from the units. These tend to bog down their logic circuits, making them unresponsive and sluggish. You may also wish to detach the units from iPhones or Android phones. This can be quite effective, judging from my personal experience with my older unit.
c. If all else fails, you might consider disposing of them. See http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=48873 for specific instructions on how to do it properly. -
Is http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=14740 useful when we get the intermittent glitches?

That might void the warranty on the units. Please ensure you use the product according to the recommended operating conditions. If you have lost the manual, you may purchase one either from MCYS or MOE. -

How about non approved manual written by PhDs?Nebbermind:

just some programming error,
with some debugging and fine tuning, the units will be working well in no time, i think :scratchhead: -

The suggested patch is totally incompatible , my unit is not a D model it's S!
Downloading this patch will cause serious conflict and crash the whole system! :nailbite: -

Wow..getting complicated. How about getting a refund or ask for one-to-one exchange?Nebbermind:

Depends on the willingness (and ability) of the manufacturers to produce more and better quality units. Sometimes supplies of raw materials could be affected due to natural disasters. Also, defects in units could be due to lack of stress testing done by the factories. -

You must understand that every unit is unique........

No 2 units r the same.
Each unit is made lovingly, and crafted laboriously for abt 9 mths before they r delivered to the customer.
So asking for a refund or 1-to1 exchange is unthinkable. -

If the factory is not closed down yet, and raw materials is readily available ,
you can produce more units if you like.
In fact it is highly recommended that you do so bcos
the last I heard there is a mass order of 1.7M units to be delivered by 2030.
