After reading so many … I think we can make it maid less in near future . My friend also intend to send maid bk soon and be a maid free soon .

With so much request from maid and $ to agent plus off day every week . And gives us headaches . I think it is really not worth .

        Hi mummies,

I am looking for reliable service to help pick up my maid and send her to airport making sure she passes through the immigration. The maid agency she comes from does not provide this service. How much does it normally cost.

could it bcoz ur spouse worries he nid to help after sending off the maid? Husband normally will side the maid coz they r not the one who manage them.

This does makes sense. Anyway it is very difficult to find a good maid these days so I have to tolerate her behaviour.

Infuriating...indeed! To my husband, I'm always the fussy, naggy, mad woman and all the maids through the years.... like so poor thing. I stop talking to him about the maids years ago. I admit I am fussy, I want things done my way because I want them done well not anyhow and things get broken, food contaminated etc.

Can a receptionist don't answer phone calls or answer anyhow and seldom found at her work station?

The last time I complained to my husband and he spoke on behalf of the maid, I told my husband off:

\".... the maid is paid help that just happens to live with us. She is not like your mother, sister or me, your wife that has spent years doing all the household chores.....that type of really poor thing.

When you complain about your staff xxx not doing his work and you yelling at him, I don't tell you how poor thing xxx! I listen and be supportive. Who else in this house we can talk to but each other!\"

From that day onwards, I don't say much to my husband about maid issues but when I have to let things off my chest, he listens (or maybe tune out/shut down) I don't care, I just need him to not side the maid, defend her or give me analysis why the maid behave that way.

All those husbands that don't supervise maids daily should just shut up, listen and be supportive towards their wives or at least appear to be.

My grandmother's yaya papaya Filipino maid is on everyone's nerves.

Recently the maid had to go for her regular checkup...when she came back, she told my mum she wanted to go for full medical checkup.

Then she wanted to eat Prima laksa...the first packet was bought by aunty for my grandmother. Maid ate it...wanted to eat again. Aunty told her to get from supermarket. Maid said she cannot find it :slapshead: This maid is damn cunning and lazy.

Is she granted for full medical checkup by your relative? I think there is a guideline by MOM of what is the minimum criteria for maids.

No...the check up is just to test for pregnancy.
That maid is really a pain.

My aunty is trying to arrange for grandmother to stay in nursing home when discharged. Then will send maid back to agency, as grandmother will need to stay at a home and doesn't need anymore maid.

Good and bad. Nursing home costs is much higher compare to hiring maid. But on the other hand, having maid to look after old folks may not be well taken care off.
