yesterday, visited 2nd hand piano shop at \"PianoMaster\", opposite Paya lebar MRT station.

Besides selling 2nd hand Yamaha, Kawai, Hai lun (China), other Korean brand, European brand Czeh Republic Petrof + other triangular shaped grand piano, \"PianoMaster\" shop also sell brand new piano. The owner of this shop played on this brand new piano (Rosler) - music so sweet, beautiful, lovely, graceful. I can hear the up and down wave-like gentle flow of the music. Fell in love with \"Rosler\" brand. He also played the same song on Yamaha, but somehow the same piece of song feel \"flat\" on Yamaha. You can feel the difference - when he played the same piece of song, on different brand piano, to test out the effect of different brand piano.

\"PianoMaster\" address is inside the list below, + many other 2nd hand piano shops in SG:-

            \"Asia Piano\" also sell second hand piano(s):-

                i) if parents wish to rent piano, can also rent one from \"Piano Master\".
                She does rent out piano.

other shops below also rent out / selling second hand piano :-

ii) Jesley Piano shop (is another shop nearby, on level 2)
address: block 1015, Geylang East Avenue 3, #02-139

Lowrey Music school (HQ Show room):-
                473 Tampines Street 43 Singapore 520473

                tel: 6783 3611

                example:
                @Lowrey Music school -
you can hire a piano around $ 360 (for 6 months use, for half a year).

sometimes parents may rent a piano -
if they're not sure whether their child is seriously keen to learn piano on a long term basis. The feeling of a keyboard is different from playing on an actual piano. So parents do not wish to buy a keyboard, yet the prefer a piano. But dare not buy piano so fast, in case child's interest wan off, so decide to temporarily rent a piano first, & see how it goes along.

                        Hi,

I am a noob to pianos and digital pianos. Have been scouting around for a budget digital piano for my DS (7 years olds - beginner just started, not sure how serious is he in continuing piano for the long term).

I understand that a good digital piano should have weighted keys.

Anyone using KORG out there who can share your experience?

                        I am considering

KORG SP170-DX ($800+), (somehow KORG weighted keys feels better, i am not too sure?)

                        or

                        Yamaha P105($1200)?

                        Any advice?

Until what grade, can a digital piano lasts the learner? When does he needs to change to acoustic piano?

                        Thanks in advanced.
