Thanks.
By the way, anyone know what is PLMGS niche area?
Used to be choir, guzheng, hand bells but they seem to have changed direction. -
If my child likes dancing, drawing and IT stuff, will this school be suitable for my child in terms of its niche area?

Hi, can I check what are the CCAs that PLMGS excel in? What are the CCAs that they offer? What's the likelihood of getting selected as a PV ? I'm residing within 1-2 km from the school but apparently, there are a few new developments sprouting near the school within these few years and I'm afraid competition will be tougher. Experienced mummies, pls advise! Thanks! Btw, my girl is born in 2009 and due for P1 registration in 2015.
Honestly, the school does not require PV unless you have very niche skills and time to support them. They have a pool of parent volunteers from the existing parents of children in the school. hence, the chance of PV is not high unless you have very special skills to offer. -

Thanks for the Reply.. Hmm. What are considered niche skills? Any idea how many PVs do they recruit yearly ? Now getting a little worried. -
I understand the school takes in about 20 PVs each year. As to what kind of niche skills the school are looking for in PVs, that will depend on the school programmes / activities conducted in the year.
You may want to call the general office for more information. -
Hi mummies,
PLMGS teaches good values and really groom the children well. Have a few life testimonies. Hence would like to consider enrol DD into.
However, I am staying >2km away from PLMGS. May i know what is my chances of getting into PV or under P2C? Or I should not even consider.
And just hope to get in through transfer?
Appreciate your advise. -

For year 2013 intake, there was no balloting conducted under phase 2B, meaning all the selected PVs who completed the required 40 hours successfully registered their girls in the school. I understand there are some who stayed >2km from the school. It is thus not entirely impossible in your case.Hi mummies,

You can refer to the P1 Registration Statistic at the school website. -

Transfer wait list also very long. I was told priority to transfer goes to those who live near to school.Hi mummies,

PV is better, P2C is considered very risky. even based on last year where SG were priority, balloting has always been down for 1-2km.

Asking mummies,
Does PLMGS subscribes to Red Dot or any magazines apart from AdVenture and Nat Geo?
