Everything also 慢慢吃,慢慢穿,慢慢做. How come in laws love to sing opposite tune? We have to rush kids to eat fast, so as to get homework done and then go to bed. If everything 慢慢, then sure to stretch into midnight and nothing is done.

i guess this is so called generation gap. During their generation, not so fast paced, not so demanding…Also, imagine they reach this retiring age, they sort of losing touch with society…

I understand it is not healthy to gulp food down...but do we have time for kids to sit down and eat at their own leisure? Time is very tight everyday.

But my kids have already taken 1 hr and have not finish. And still tell them to eat slowly??? :gloomy:

My mil also do not take 1 hr to eat....

But I believed about the generation gap. No wonder we could not get along.

My ds oso takes 1hour to finish. So I've no choice to make porridge everyday so easier for him to eat faster.Scold or nag or encourage him also no use.

My MIL oredi extremely unhappy when i told my DH to eat faster. She said later he suffers from indigestion. If i do that for my DS,she'll :spank: me

30 min to eat is already very slow. 1 hour…菜都凉了.

that’s why cannot get along. in-laws always want to be good guys…everything slow slow.

My IL is the other extreme lei. When DSs were younger (from the day they start taking solids), for a period of time we were staying with my ILs. Usually by the time I reached home after work, they were having dinner. Many times, my MIL was \"force-feeding\" DSs to eat. The scoop of food on the spoon was so huge that even I doubt I could take it in one mouth. She would push the full spoonful of food into DSs mouths very roughly, sometimes hurting them with the metal/plastic spoon. Many times, DSs would choke on the mouthful of food. Before they could swallow the food in their mouth, she would try to push in another spoon. :siao:

Needless to say, I was
