It's a replacement meals,right? -
I stayed clear of carbohydrates eg rice, bread, noodles and potatoes, and ate lots of fruits and vegatables and drankslots of clear soup.
I also brisk walk 4km 3x/week.
I lost 7 kg in 1 year.
Very happy cos BMI = 21.5% now
However i lost lots of hair too!
Could not find out what’s the cause at first, then realize that i have omitted my staple food, rice.
Then resume eating rice, and 3 months later hair grew back, but weight still maintained! -
Sigh! I want to put on weight instead. My current weight disgust me. I m too skinny. Everything I wear looks oversized. I hate my figure. But I just don’t have a good appetite. If I overeat, I’ll puke so I tend to take small meals. Even after giving birth, I m still not proud of how I look. Anyone knows of anything I can do to put on weight?

Wah if I have your problem, I will check out all the great buffet in town...ok here's to start you with a few:
1. Shangrila Hotel
2. Goodwood Park Hotel
3. Raffles Hotel, Billard Room
4. Marriot Hotel
5. Trader's Hotel (hearsay, yet to go but all above, tried and tested! MUST go)
Next I will go and check out all the great curry fish heads...
And finally DESSERTS! If I have a choice like you, I will eat up all the cheesecakes I can set my eyes on.
If you enjoy food alot like me...your appetite will grow. :celebrate:
Actually it is not the weight figure you have to worry about, more important to ensure that you are healthy...so please refrain from an overdose of cheesecakes, curry fishheads and most of the sinful food at the buffets. If you are skinny but healthy, just continue to be healthy.
As for looking good in clothes you wear, shop at the right places.
Finally, this is something you really should research and check out. The TCM accupuncture to increase your appetite, I believe that works.
I have not had personal experience but I heard from many sources it works. -
Avoid heavy breakfast (just fruits with cooked oats, no sugary beverage). reduce (not eliminate) carbo in your meals, take more "steamed/boiled" stuff and vegetable, avoid supper at all cost! It works for me and I don’t have time to exercise but exercise will definitely help…I’m also afraid of side effects of herbs or weight loss pills…

My rule: Keep No, none, not a single bit of junk food at home except fruits. That will prevent unwanted munching and eating at the wrong time usually while watching that exciting drama or movie. As for fruits, though some maybe in high sugars are still natural enough for easy digestion, plus overeating fruits gives you a full tummy and clears your bowels fast.

Yep, i did that fruit detox for a while.
And by a while, i do mean... no longer
on that kinda diet.

Hmmm...just wondering too if anyone has heard about balloon in stomach procedure? Apparently, the success rate is very good in Europe - where it's called gastric ballooning.
Not something that my doc has suggested though...they were talking about lapbands (gastric by-pass) etc but this seems different:
- insert a balloon into the stomach through the throat (i.e., like scope);
- fill balloon with liquid;
- touted to be quick, relatively painless and affordable way to help obese people lose weight. But the Food and Drug Administration has not approved the gastric-ballooning procedure, and it is almost nonexistent in the United States.
Coz apparently there's some doubt among American bariatric surgeons and other obesity experts about the balloon's safety and effectiveness. Not a lot of clinical trials have been done, and some experts theorize that the balloon technique isn't drastic enough to reduce ghrelin, a hormone produced in the stomach that increases hunger and that gastric-bypass surgery suppresses

kiasimom:
I would gain weight even when I breath air...so sad...I have to admit. Weight loss is my lifelong career
Since young, I have been very conscious about my weight.
I am not blessed with a slim figure and I will put on weight even if I just drink water!
So, everytime, when people say a certain product is good, I will buy it and try.
I have tried numerous products like, i-slim, x-diet, cambridge diet , extrim etc....
I also applied products like Nivea fat burning gel and many more, some of which I cannot recall the names now....
More than 10 years down the road, I am still looking out for the best product that works.
If I hear any good recommendation, you bet I will try it out.
Not only that, I have went for several treatments.
I went to Expressions, no results.
De Beaute, no results
And finally I found London Weight Management. At that time, they are call Sensualite. I must admit their treatment works.
However, once you stop the treatment, you will regain your previous weight
I then tried to go to a specialist.
I went to the Makeover Clinic at Eastpoint for mesotherapy.
I was injected thousands of times with cocktails of microinjections of conventional or homeopathic medicines, vitamins, minerals and amino acids.
I look like I was stung by ants thousands of times and it is painful! Ouch!
After parting with yet another few thousands, it doesn't work.
So now, I control what I eat, and is rather skeptical about those so-called treatments.
I am still considering liposuctions.
I guess that should be the most effective surgery by far.
How about you? What is your experience in weight loss?
