Checking in for my DS piggy. Can’t believe it is his turn soon. Phase 2C at neighborhood school next door! Should be no balloting unless a flood of new citizens force a ballot. I am curious to know whether there has been a spike in new citizens since the new policy was effected during 2012 P1 Exercise? If so, what was the % increase?

Does moe require a k2 graduation certificate, for p1 enrollment?


What if some kids only attend enrichment classes (either once a week, 3x or 5x per week) for the 3 subjects (english, maths, chinese) but did not attend k2 kindergarten to full term to get a k2 certificate ?

If your girl is currently attending kindergarten, the kindergarten will give her a booklet sometime in June. The booklet will have details on P1 registration dates, etc.

Hi All,


Need your opinion on my dilemma.

Son is about to enrol for P1 next year (born 2007). We are currently staying in Sengkang area.
However, all of us (husband and myself, even my boy boy is schooling and working in west area). My parents are in the west area and so do my siblings.
Planning to shift house end fo 2014.

Now, the question:
Should i pick the school near Sengkang ? Then halfway through, we transfer my boy to a west side school?

Or should i go ahead and pick the west area school?
(but i heard they are measuring 1km, 2km).

Note: All of my parents and siblings employed. so no chance of using the Statutory
Declaration. How?
Any ideas?Also can recommend any good school besides Rulang primary?and Rosyth school in the northeast (near my sengkang west)?

Did you or your hubby attend primary school in the west? If yes, and you wish to register your ds in the alma mater, you can use Phase 2A2.


If your hubby and your alma mater is not in the west, then it will be tough if you are planning to register your ds in a popular school in the west. You will not have a chance to ballot in those schools under Phase 2C, I’m assuming you didn’t PV in those schools.

Are you interested in schools that are not popular in the west? Not popular does not necessary mean not good, it’s up to individual.

You mentioned that you are planning to shift to west, does that mean you are in the process of securing a home there? If you already bought a condo there, you can still use that add provided the TOP falls within a certain period.

Since you are moving to the west, it would be easier if you register your ds in a school in the west.

Where in the west? IMHO, Dazhong, Bt Timah Pri have more than ample vacancy for >2km at 2C. Rulang, South View will be tough unless u r alumni. PEPS also possible depending on take up rate.
