My husband is also the 典型华人 . When he’s in singapore, I would need to cook 三菜一汤 for him. He prefers Chinese home cooked food to western food. When he is not around, I would sometimes cook spaghetti, pizza, porridge or rosti.

Yr DH is juz the opp of my hub.... 😉

He never likes western food or fast food...his everyday's meal cannot dont have rice....asian stable food 😂
so if i or my gal craves for western food or fast food, we will go without him...

like recently, i cooked western baked rice as my gal requested for it....
and i had to cook separately 星洲炒饭 for him.....

Aiyo.. They give you extra work! Every meal my DH needs either french fries or fried chicken. The rest I get to decide. Thank goodness! Now you know why I need to stock up frozen fries, chicken wings and nuggets? Sometimes he eats fast food for lunch so I'm spared of the junk food.

haha....yr DH is like a kid, fancy fries, chicken wings and nuggets
yr kid/s will certainly like to dine with him..... 😉

Actually, is juz a small issue lah.....juz cook separately lorr....
cant simply force others to like the same food as us....
i actually know some guy frens who are like him, dislike eating western food.....

With me DS has to eat fruits, vege and drink soup. He is fine eating those but still prefer fried chicken and fries. Typical 'mini daddy'. At home I try not to serve DS fried chicken too often. Too unhealthy!

There are ready-made paste for curry, laksa and even herbal bags for Bak Kut Teh. What about pig organ soup? I can’t seem to find any paste or herbal bags for it.

I thought that would normally be plenty of pepper to drown the taste of the innards?

I remember when young, this used to be breakfast on some weekends. Mum cooks it as a soup with mince pork and a type of vege, cannot remember what it is called. It is supposed to cleanse and nourish blood.

Can use the same type that is used for pig stomach soup right or the peppery bak kut teh type.

I've used some of these but some do leave you rather thirsty.
