There are ready-made paste for curry, laksa and even herbal bags for Bak Kut Teh. What about pig organ soup? I can’t seem to find any paste or herbal bags for it.

I thought that would normally be plenty of pepper to drown the taste of the innards?

I remember when young, this used to be breakfast on some weekends. Mum cooks it as a soup with mince pork and a type of vege, cannot remember what it is called. It is supposed to cleanse and nourish blood.

Can use the same type that is used for pig stomach soup right or the peppery bak kut teh type.

I've used some of these but some do leave you rather thirsty.

Not mine, thankfully. He will eat anything I serve. My kids are the same, so it makes my life a lot easier.

Every Mon-Wed, I cook the usual Chinese style soup and dishes. Thursdays I wind down a bit and will make one-dish meals like seafood Mui-fan, baked rice, stir fry bee Hoon, porridge etc. Tonight, we are having spaghetti. 😄

Fridays are the best because my kitchen is closed! We have our dinner out. 🕺
