Thank you, cherry gal for kind help.

Will let my friend know. Ask her to teach her son using this useful phrase, explain the profound meaning behind, make him memorize.

Btw, blossom world going to start another new dzg class, coming October. I see more & more parents making enquiries, queue up their child on the wait list.

Are u going to register your n2 girl, for this new class? This programme take about 2 years to finish, because it goes in depth.

If she start in n2 now, V good ! She can complete, before entering p1 in 2016. In fact I see a lot of (n2 + k1) kids enrolled inside the class, mich more than k2 kids. So far, no p1 kid around.

Thanks phtthp, DD’s grasp of the Chinese language is still rudimentary, I hesitate to send her to a dzg class using Mandarin to explain the meaning… is there a class in English?

But I must say, DS and DD are enjoying the DZG cartoons but I have to sit beside them and explain in English.

                Hi,

I'm just wondering what is the appropriate age to expose DZG to my children. My DD1 is 3 this year... 🙂

                Thanks in advance.

                John

                    Cherrygal,

Go for it. Dun worry Abt yr gal's Chinese. Inside my daughter's class now, there are total 16 kids max. Out of these 16, bulk of it are 4 yr old n2, followed by 5 yr old k1, and only 3 k2 kids. There is no p1 kid here. So this class strictly for n2-k2 kids.

For the n2, in pre-school now, they only learning how to recognize simple Chinese words, plus some simple bi Hua. So when come to Chinese, every kid is starting from ground zero.

In this Dzg classics, their teacher said they'll Learn to master about 1640 Chinese vocab words (if I rem the count correctly). Of course my original intention for my kid is learn some important moral values out of dzg. My main objective is to let her listen to the moral classics. Let the teacher then teach them what is filial piety, etc. I mean ... If I want her To learn Chinese character, I can let her attend some other external enrichmt classes outside. These 1640 chinese vocab words thereabout just happen to be a bonus.

So far, I find the teachers and many volunteers there very warm, helpful and courteous. The parents there are also kind & helpful. They also trying to organize outings to organic vegetable farm, so that children can be I trod iced to see how plants and veg grow from, etc.

Dzg teacher said 4 yo (n2) is the best time to introduce dzg. No doubt child may not understand each & every profound meaning behind dzg classics, but at this age, their mind is like a piece of blank paper. Or like a piece of sponge. They absorb things in much faster rate than we adults! So as they memorize dzg classics, it'll drop into their hearts, their mind, their soul. One day when they grow up, as they recall what they'd been taught before, the meaning gradually become alive in them - the meaning of remembering where you drink the source of water from ?

In the class, not all stay in Geylang. Some stay in Serangoon, tiong Bahru, red hill, bukit merah, some stay in clementi. They also send their kids down here on weekend.

What are we teaching our child?

By teaching the Right Attitude to our child from young, he will possess a sound Judgement (ability to differentiate what is right or wrong), which is the true Wisdom.
                        😄

                        Not teach them about gain.

Why is the reason that contribute to a kids in modern society that value money to the extend of severing the ties of kinship? 😢

This is because the parents have not taught the right Attitude to our child.

From birth, the child is is continuously learning judgement from listening & watching from nitty gritty events (the behaviour of the parents) daily.

There is an ancient saying: The temperamental at age 80 can be foreseen at 3 years old.

A sound judgement can be taught to a child Before he turns 3 years old as he is continuously absorbing them through sight & hearing.

Results were released 23 years later reaffirmed that character of adult mimics the behaviour at age 3:

                        1) 28% of kids who are Cheeful & Brave grown up to become cheerful, determined, decisive and leadership qualities => Confident

                        2) 40% of kids who are Confident & Friendly, grown up to become Calm, Easily Adapt to environment & emotionally Strong=> Adaptable

                        3) 8% of the kids who are Reserved & less sociable, grown up to become fearful of being hurt, restrain the emotions & don't influence others= > Reserved

                        4) 14% of the kids who are cautious, grown up to become more Disciplined & high self-control abilit => Self-Disciplined

                        5) 10% who are Hyperactive or easily distracted or pessimistic, grown up to have hasty temper, easily agitated by petty matters & poor concentration => Restless
