[Pasir Ris] Primary Schools

Hi Everyone.


We are moving to Singapore from HKG next Month. We intend to stay at Livia or NV residence. From all we have read here, it looks like our son’s best chance of getting a place for P1 next year is Elias park. If for some reason he does not get it, would they assign him the next nearest school in Pasir Ris ? Is that how it works ?

Poiching, if you can get into the earlier phases and not worry about balloting due to distance. As long you dont mind your kid in a school bus or you're able to ferry him or her thru and fro. Its also a SAP school.

Yes, I’ll also aim for poi Ching (if i stay in tampines ), because it is a sap school. Teach kids good manners, values, respect, diligence, compassion, consideration for others, etc. not say other schools don’t teach these. But if u can go down visit poi Ching, you can sense the very strong chinese culture, atmosphere there. Maybe u bring yr child & Husb down, see how they find the school.


I find white sands primary -
Not a wide range of cca to offer, limited.
You also need to find out which cca u like yr son to engage in, check which of the 3 schools offer them ?

Just to add, wen i bought my DS rhere last yr, he secretly ask me is PCS a temple!!!

I stay every near to Elias Pri Sch, walking distance. My wife said Pasir Ris Pri Sch better. But that will mean taking school bus. Any comments on Elias Pri Sch?

Me too stay within 1 km of loyang pri, casurina pri, pasir ris pri & white sands pri.
A couple of friends suggest I move to tampines for a chance at chongzeng pri. I’m not able to find a difference between these schools?

Can anyone help me please? TIA…

I would think pasir ris primary. Why chongzheng? If move to tampines, might as well try for st hilda or poi ching?
