Maid complaint employer made her wash plates at mil pl. I didn't know its not right until officer said maid is not suppose to do house chore except WP stated address. So I asked officer, 'can I ask her sit outside corridor n eat? Also give her a pile of water to wash her own plate?'
The officer not correct lei. If the maid main chore is to take care of baby and during the day baby is at MIL house.. how not the maid be in MIL house?

But the maid did not complain about being in the MIL's home mah. She complained about having to do MIL's housework.

Wah does it mean to say if we go parents’ or IL’s house for meals, then we must wash MAID’s plate ourself since we cannot ask them to wash plates???

Must we then also serve them their meals?

          RIDICULOUS LAW!

It has to depend on the context isn’t it? If the maid is made to go there everyday to PURPOSELY do their chores for them then it’s not right. But like eniney said, if baby is parked at IL’s house during the day, maid oso cannot help with the house chores? Go over for meals, clean up after the meals also cannot?

officer quoted one case. Maid complaint employer made her wash plates at mil pl. I didn't know its not right until officer said maid is not suppose to do house chore except WP stated address. So I asked officer, 'can I ask her sit outside corridor n eat? Also give her a pile of water to wash her own plate?'

How come you never ask the officer, \"can push the baby's pram downstairs\" or \"can buy vegetables at the market?\"

Your examples are part of their chores for your family. But if you bring them to your relative/friend's house, they are NOT suppose to do chores in their house. As for my question, I'm curious what will be my answer as 'corridors' belong to public. But too bad, no answer for it :nunchuk:

              you are quite humorous! 😆
I think if your maid refuse to clean her own plates, then you can also complain!

Hi Einney, please be mindful as leaving maid other than WP address is illegal. Pray hard maid don't complaint. You may check with MOM on this issue. We all know 80% of us will leave maid with MIL or mother, but as per MOM ruling, chores must be perform at registered address. Not even taking dog for walk. If dog register under different address from WP, maid also can complaint.

What she should not be doing is housework in that house. Cooking food for the baby is fine, washing m-i-l's clothes is not. I think it is key that the maid understands this arrangement before signing the contract so that there is no mis-understanding.

Thanks for clearing up confusion. Yes, you’re right. They can be in another address doing job scope related to employer ONLY.

For couples who bring maid and bb to their parents' place during the day, is the maid going to be a 小姐 there? That means, the grandmother cooks for her to eat and washes the maid's bowl when done...then whole day sit down or also nap when bb does, until employers return? If grandparents bring bb out, then maid stays at home or go along? If MOM wants to defend maids over own citizens, I find it amusing.

In real world, there is contract and guidelines...and also what is really happening.

Like your see a lot of company vehicles being used for private use, eg, ferrying family here and there. Most companies know it but donch really bother, unless you let someone else drive the vehicle, or if get into accidents, the passengers (family) will not be covered by insurance.
