I uploaded the pic into photobucket.

I bought 1/2 kg, after discarding the leaves/stems, left only what's on the plate.

            Jennifer,

How did you wash the peanut roots? I can wash more than 10 times and yet still look very dirty.

I will soak them for an hour or so, then will wear shower gloves to give them a good rub. Find this is the easiest way and can cut short my standing time by the sink.

                  Funz:

Amazing. Your dinners are all like 5-6 dishes. How do you finish all the food? Mine are usually 1 meat/fish, 1 vege and 1 soup. That's it. If I cook stew, it will be that 1 dish with a staple.

The meat and fish portions are not big.

My elder boy now can eat more, so hubby rather I cook more than to have insuficient food.

Hubby is used to seeing > 1 meat, > 1 seafood, > 1 veg and a big pot of soup in his mum's place. Mine is considered peanuts liao :rotflmao:

I only cook 1 cup of rice. So I prepare another carbo dish like potatoes.

I don't bother with soup, and fish is counted as 'meat' in my home. And I would put the chicken, potato and veg in a single dish. Also, how can your family just manage on 1 cup of rice? My family of 4, with 2 girls aged 13 and 16yo, needs 2.5 cups of rice for 1 meal! (by the way, none of us is overweight!)

1 cup of rice is > sufficient for my children. I am not eating rice for dinner. Hubby was not home for dinner either.

My hubby family is brought up with the mentality \"must have soup for meals\" (I cant do anything about it, though I myself do not drink soup).

As for putting everything into a dish, this is also a big NO-NO in our family 🤷
