Senario 1.
The child is being looked after by grandparent who is not employed and the child studied in a kindergarten near the grandparent’s place. If both parents are working full-time, statutory declaration can be made. The grandparent’s address can be used for the purpose of registration. Now, at the point of declaration, both parents are working. Now what if one of the parents has left the job or converted to flexi hours, will the child be penalised by MOE? That means if the child can get balloted into a school, will MOE penalise the child just because one of the parent is no longer working full-time after statutory declaration was made. Anyone can advise? -

Thanks thanks!! Will take a look
You can check with existing parents' network for Red Swastika -> http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=4375&start=1760 on more information about the school.pooh_pooh:
Hihi!
I'm new to this forum.. my DD1 is going Pri 1 next year as well...staying at Bedok area, looking at Red Swastika.. May I know if there is any thread where can I find more information about the school such as the culture, strengths in CCA, etc.. thanks for helping!
I think I should be eligible for P2B.. when would the registration for P2B be? And when would results be know?
You can confirm which phases you belongs to in this link and how long you need to wait for the release of result based on last year's detail.-> http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/phases/

sweetbaby:
roughly what the estimate cost for student care? any subsidy?
Childcare centres are controlled by mcys, so there is child subsidy for working mothers.
Is there a government body controlling student care centres ?
If no, then student care centres are run commercially - thus no subsidy for working parents ? -

I think there are Student Care subisidies as well regulated by MSF.

Hi Mummies,
I'm currently in a deliemma. Wanted to enrol my son to North Spring as I'm staying very near to North Spring however the only student care nearest to NSps, Lotus Student Care is closing down next year 2014 as they are converting into childcare centre :slapshead: :slapshead: .
So now North Spring is out of the question. The next choice will be Sengkang Pri but their in house student care is full and they only give priority to siblings of the current student next year and the next nearest student care, Sengkang Student Care just outside sengkang pri is also full!!!
Mummies in Sengkang area, besides they list of student care in MSF website, any other student care in Sengkang? Pls advise thanks. Greatly appreciated. I'm in a loss now.

St Andrew's Junior will be a better choice. Heard of parents sell off landed property just to secure an apartment within 1 km of St Andrew's Junior. Ultimately, it depends on your own preference.Hi Everyone,
