I thought microwave if leaking (we cannot see the leaks) can cause cancer? :scratchhead: so better don't use, right?

May I know how much you paid for the steam oven?

            Thanks

Am using the Sharp Water Over AX1500V 31L capacity.

So far so good. Been baking, roasting and grilling with it. As with any ovens, took a few tries to know it better.

I even tried steaming with it but it took longer than using a wok over a stove.

Cannot remember how much I paid for it though.

Would like to get some advices about getting a microwave.

Do u hv a microwave at home? Is it used regularly or has become a white elephant? What do u use it for?

If u do not hv a microwave n have no intention of getting one, what r your reasons?

I have a microwave oven at home. It came with my house.

We do not use the microwave function. My mum does not like the idea and we have family members who will develop sore-throat after eating food cooked by the microwaving method.

I have baked once using the microwave. My mum uses the grill and roast functions fairly frequently.

Because I do not use the microwave function, am waiting for it to break down so that I can replace it with a steamer with the bake, grill and roast functions.

my microwave oven was a wedding gift…it is hardly used other than boiling water and re-heating food if hubby is lazy to take out the steamer. food re-heated in the microwave is not nice but sometimes just too lazy to take out a steamer to steam up 2 pau.

I don’t have a microwave oven and I have no plan for getting one as I read somewhere that it may increase chance of getting cancer. A couple of DS’s colleagues have cancer and they use microwave often. It may be just a coincidence but I’m not taking a chance.

Now I have a small conventional oven but thinking of getting a bigger conventional oven.
